5 - 24 - 20  Surprised to see so many people on the beach and walking on the boardwalk.  Lots getting take-out food, sitting on the boardwalk and on the side areas with blankets and beach chairs on the grass.  Groups of families visiting from two plus hour drives and local solo people and couples.  All enjoying the fresh air and seeing other people, along with the ocean of waves.  A gray day to the start of the holiday, a very different way of celebrating.  Discarded masks were on the boardwalk, some people wearing them and some not.  Everyone must decide what is best to do and to think of others.
